Welcome to the webpage of the recently founded Zehner Lab. Located in the CMMC building in Cologne, our research aims for a broader understanding of the human immune response to infection with human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), to deepen the knowledge on promising immunogenic structures and to identify highly effective neutralizing antibodies to prevent and treat severe infection and transmission.

International Herpesvirus Workshop
From 26-30th of July we had a great time at the 49th Annual International Herpesvirus Workshop in Berlin. We had the amazing opportunity to share and discuss new insights into HCMV biology and therapy with colleagues from around the world. Matthias presented our recent research in his talk, and Linda presented her project in the poster session!
Celebration on April 11th
We celebrated that Matthias received the CAP founding of the CMMC to forward his research group with wafles and drinks. Congratulations!
